Being the Sixers apparently can't afford to offer Thaddeus Young much of a contract, I'm officially on the amnesty Salmons, sign Young bandwagon.

Young is a worse shooter than Salmons. IMO, he'd clog the offense more than Salmons would, at least John can make a 3.

Still believe there are way too many guys on this team who need the ball to be effective. Evans and Cousins are obvious - as is Salmons. Thornton does too but he can still play off the ball decently...the rest of them need it in their hands though to make something happen.

Wax Salmons off the cap - bring in Young to replace him and his money. That leaves the Kings with around 18 million left just to meet the minimum salary requirements. They could sign a Nene then and still have about, what? 5 million or so just to meet the minimum salary.

Kings essentially have to spend their money this off-season or next as they're not going to have the money once Evans and Cousins are up for new deals, so, be it FA or trade, the time to spend is this off-season or next. And given next years crop of really poor un-restricted free agents, well...this year is looking better.

Josh Smith is about the only legit non-restricted free agent star next year that's obtainable and I highly doubt he'd come to Sacto.
