man......that's a tough one
I think I'd do it. Westbrook is a bit of a basket case on the floor sometimes, but, so is Tyreke.
I think it would cost more than Reke though - maybe a Thompson or Greene along with change from OKC.

nope.....Westbrook is another Rondo....only not as good
can't shoot a lick, can't finish and goes out of control at times..
he does have great moments.....but I'd pass

Who are you describing? Tyreke or Westbrook? :heehee:

personally I think Tyreke shoots and finishes a little better....Tyreke is a tougher defender
they both suck a Little for sure
This is Reke's make or break year, for me. If he doesn't get it going at some point before the All-Star break, I think you have to at least look at the market and see what's out there. He's going to get real expensive soon.

In fairness Westbrook is faster, a better passer, a better FT shooter, and is an above-average defender. Westbrook would come in though and want the Kings to be his team, and probably would cause rifts in the lockerroom too. I don't like that sort of attitude, and his shooting does suck. Then again, where is Tyreke at this stage? He is a lesser player than Westbrook who has shown zero growth. I'd love to see Tyreke become someone, but he isn't giving much reason to believe.

Reke is what he is a nice number 2. not going to be an ALL Star and will average 18-20 pts for the rest of his career. He will not carry a team and probably be a better fit in OKC, where Durant is the Man. If Westbrook came to Sac it would be a better fit. But, does it really fill a major need. We badly need a pass first point before this team starts thinking any playoffs.

The problem our team has is that Our 1(Tyreke) and our 3(Salmons) play the same type of game a slasher and cannot pass. We need one starter to be able to pass out of these 2 positions, and they don't yet. We need them to understand their role on the team. We have 2 slashers as starters and no pg.
Westbrook would be good for us!

Westbrook is nothing like Rondo. There really aren't any other players like Rondo. Rondo is pretty unique.

In a heartbeat. I'm not very high on Tyreke these days. There's a lot o players out there i'd trade him for. Westbrook seems to be developing into a star while Tyreke continues to regress from his rookie year. Tyreke is one of the most frustrating players I've ever seen. He'll dazzle you and look like a star for a few games then he'll flat out disappear and look like a D-league player for a few games. I don't recall ever seeing a player with his level of natural talent be so darn inconsistent. I agree that this was his "make or break" year and so far he's continuing to disappoint.
I'm tired of people making excuses for him too, that he's young, had bad coaching, etc. Other young guys on the team like JT and Cousins have had the same bad coaching yet have developed as players and are finding their roles. Why isn't Tyreke? Personally, I question whether he has the right mentality to be high level NBA player, and I'm not sure what you do about that. He just seems to lack drive. I see guys like Cousins, Thomas, and Thompson out there giving 110% every game, win or lose but with Tyreke it's a gamble what you'll get on any given night. he might give 100% and end up with 30 points or he might go M.I.A. and end up with 4 points.
Personally I’m tired of waiting on him to get it together and it’s really hurting the team. I honestly believe that if Tyreke played as consistently as Cousins does that the Kings would have at least 4 or 5 more wins right now. His inconsistency is killing this team. I know some of the role players have been inconsistent too but as one of the Kings supposed best players, Tyreke needs to be held to a higher standard. Along with Cousins, he needs to set the tone for the team.
