Game 1 is on TNT in a few mins.

IowaSacKing93

I say Bulls in 5.

Philly is a team that has given Chicago major problems over the past 2 seasons. There was a close game between the two, that Chicago (and Rose) ran away with late in the game (this game was in Philly).

But Chicago can't always count on those big 2nd half runs. Philly can hang with them. They're young, athletic, defensive-minded. Just as was the case with Indiana last year in the 1st round...there should be close games but I see Chicago winning the majority of them.

Nice use of the pick and roll by Holliday. Slashes inside for the 2.

Chicago misses another jumper.

10-7 Chicago

Hamilton wide open in the corner. How does that happen?

15-9

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:24 AM
Brand wide open lane and he flushes it. That's like 10 points for him already.

Noah with a one-hand dunk at the other end, and one!!!

Philly is one of those teams that will play from behind all game and will be comfortable doing so..look for that to happen in a series like this.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:26 AM
Lavoy Allen with 2 offensive rebounds, 4 total rebounds already. Could be an x-factor

You think Philly is good playing from behind? Ok, we'll see. Haven't seen much of them this year. I just don't want to start the playoffs with a blowout.

LOL, I had no idea who Lavoy Allen was until now.

GIBSON!!!!!!!!! This guy is one of the most excited players in the game.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:28 AM
Rose has 4 rebounds and 3 assists, in 9 minutes.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:31 AM
I don't think that's the type of shot Gibson should be taking...20+ feet away from the basket. Chicago taking a lot of long jumpers but they can probably get away with it in this series.

25-18

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:33 AM

You're right, Philly is playing athletic and has kept it to a 4-6 point game.

Gibson again!

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 10:34 AM
Sweet Lou with a runner. (I call him "Sour Lou" when he sucks).

24-28 end of 1st. I'm happy with the game.

IowaSacKing93 (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?9-IowaSacKing93), when you get a chance, can you look at the fantasy question I have in the MLB thread?

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:35 AM
28-24 at the end of 1. Like I said, Philly just sticks around...but Chicago is good at making little runs. I can see the lead go into double figures, then quickly back down to 4-6.

Also, are these fans really going to boo Evan Turner every time he touches the ball? The guy just made a stupid little comment..this stuff always happens in sports. And Turner should be more worried about living up to his #2 overall pick

I agree.

It is funny to watch, though.

Also, I added your post from the other thread in post # 2. Look above. :)

Really nice sequence there...Watson tips the ball away...chases it down....pass to Deng...Deng avoids the defender and scores the ball.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:42 AM
It was 28-28..then Chicago went on a 'quick run'.

37-28 now.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:42 AM
Hawes misses a point blank shot. Did somebody say 'aww shit?' or am i just hearing things lol.

Hey your rep power is up to a 5 lol...

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:48 AM
Noah misses a wide-open jumper...a little out of his comfort range imo.

37-29

Chicago needs to jump on them now. But most of the starters are still sitting

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:48 AM
Elton Brand keeps hitting shots.

37-31

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:49 AM
Transition bucket. Chicago needs to stop that. 4-point game again.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:51 AM
Come on Boozer..make the extra pass

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:52 AM
Brand isn't missing today. 6-point game +1 FT upcoming for Brand

nuraman00

Hey your rep power is up to a 5 lol...

I think I was "banned" for 10 days from having any rep power, after you gave me a negative rating. Maybe after 10 days, anyone who had "liked" my post since then, took into effect?

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 10:53 AM
Elton Brand keeps hitting shots.

37-31

I missed this game, but the best Brand game was in game 1 of the 2006 playoffs against Phoenix. He scored 40 points on 18-22 shooting. I wish I had seen that.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:56 AM
Chicago just isn't at 100% right now. Hamilton with a weak pass then another long pull-up jumper on the next possession.

Chicago is rebounding though, and still playing good defense. I'm just waiting on them to go on a scoring spree

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 10:56 AM
Philly has to do a better job on the defensive boards.

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 10:57 AM
Rose full court pass to Hamilton.

Kind of like the old Kings. :)

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:57 AM
Rose to Hamilton! 9-point game again.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 10:58 AM
Rose full court pass to Hamilton.

Kind of like the old Kings. :)

The team that does a better job in transition, wins the game IMO.

Both teams are good at that

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:03 AM
Rose hits a long jumper. 51-40

Brand has 15 points for Philly

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:03 AM
Tough call against Boozer but that makes up for the bad call on the Igoudala offensive foul.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:04 AM
Holy shit..that was ugly. Noah needs to pass out of that situation...that was just terrible :(

The good news is Chicago keeps tipping balls up in the air and coming down with them. 53-40

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:06 AM
Why take that shot Rose? And with time to spare on the shot clock?

I guess Chicago is shooting over 50% from the field...but they've taken so many ill-advised shots, that they could be shooting 60%+ and this lead could be 15 points or higher.

nuraman00

I hated Chicago's late game offense in the playoffs last year. That's why I did not like THibbadeau at all.

Both Chicago and Thiabbadeau have been better this year.

I like how both Brand and Boozer are playing well. I like how no one is struggling, it's a good game by both teams.

So do I have enough time to go and get a Sonic Blast and make it back in time for the 2nd half? (It's about 5 minutes away)

nuraman00

Iguodala scored on Hamilton after Hamilton flops.

When did Hamilton pick that shit up? Detroit was the anti-flopping team, they were just tough ballers.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:46 AM
Get nuramon a Cherry Limeade alrdy!

it should be a crime against humanity to not have a mr. goodbar sonic blast

also, the large is 32 ounces??? wtf have i gotten myself into lol

So you like the Mr. Goodbar one? How do you compare it to other candy variations? Do you think it's better than Heath, or Butterfingers DQ Blizzards?

Is that a 32 oz Sonic Blast? WOW.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:54 AM
No, they don't have a Mr . Goodbar blast....BUT i want them to have one

yes, i got a 32 oz Reeses LOL!

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:55 AM
Butterfingers is my favorite..i usually go with that but today I wanted something a little different. Haven't tried Heath. It just looks disgusting (the candybar)

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 11:59 AM
We continue to play the cat-and-mouse game. Lead is 11 for Chicago

Philly needs to make a little run soon, do they have it in them against this defense?

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:00 PM

Why did you mention Mr. Goodbar then?

IowaSacKing93

Did Meeks get injured and I just missed it? He's played 7 minutes and started.

nuraman00

Butterfingers is my favorite..i usually go with that but today I wanted something a little different. Haven't tried Heath. It just looks disgusting (the candybar)

Butterfinger and Oreos are classics.

But I'm like you, I want to try something different. Reeses would be something different.

I think I told you before that two years ago, I went on a Dairy Queen Blizzard binge? They had 4 categories of Blizzards, so my goal was to try one of every category. (Not all in the same day, of course).

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:01 PM
I was complaining. I said 'it should be a crime against humanity' (playfully saying that Sonic is committing a crime by not having it)

I want one :(

Right. Reese's is something different...but I don't know if I should have gotten a large size.

I don't remember if you told me. That sounds cool though. They have more then 4 flavors though...like 8 or 9 even? (If i remember correctly).

Did they just add those in the last 2 years then?

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:04 PM
They usually do that with Meeks.

He's scored 50 points in a game!

In college :)

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:05 PM
Holiday takes a 3 from the wing..not really his shot. Is Philly pressing now?

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:06 PM
I guess I'm being a little picky with the shot selection. Most teams don't take 'bad' shots but all teams will take some 'bad' shots throughout the game. By 'bad', i mean the shots are just not part of any play...a guy might just pull-up 5 seconds into the shot clock..but as basketball players, I'm sure they get a feeling when they just want to shoot, or have some confidence.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:07 PM
Kyle Korver...instant offense

17-point game

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:07 PM
Interesting, the Blizzard sizes are:

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

http://blog.dairyqueen.com/blizzard/the-mini-blizzard-that%E2%80%99s-mighty-good/

Jason, we have not changed the Blizzard flavor treat sizes: the Mini Blizzard treat is new at 6oz, the small remains 12 oz, the medium remains 16 oz, and the large remains 21 oz. I am sorry you feel we have changed the sizes!

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:09 PM

Candy Cravers

Chocoholics

Cookie Lovers

Fruit Fans

When I have time, I'll try and remember exact ones I had.

Gibson to Asik...foul

Game is over.

Bulls just chiseled away at the Sixers throughout the whole game. Chicago never played terrible either, or gave up the lead (after 3-2).

Throughout the 1st they led by 4-9 points...then that grew do double digits in the 3rd quarter..and now it's in the high teens. So progressively, they did a good job of not giving up a big run , and going on a couple of quick runs themselves.

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:11 PM
So the largest Blizzard is still way smaller than the largest Sonic Blast, lol.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:11 PM
I think we have each other confused maybe. I'm talking about Sonic Blasts, and you're mistaking them for DQ Blizzards? Or no?

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:12 PM
I've been eating this ice cream throughout the whole 3rd quarter and I have like 26 ounces left LOL

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:13 PM
I like to dip half the spoon in the whipped cream, then dump the other half in the ice cream. Makes for a nice dyanmic

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:14 PM
Ok, I'll make this promise. Either this weekend or next, I will go to Sonic and buy both the cherry limeaid, and the sonic blast. (Do you like the Reese one?)

I'll have the sonic blast right away, but probably save the cherry limeade for later in the day.

nuraman00

I think we have each other confused maybe. I'm talking about Sonic Blasts, and you're mistaking them for DQ Blizzards? Or no?

I just wanted to compare what the largest size of a Blizzard was vs. a Sonic Blast. Confirmed, 32 oz is larger than the 21 oz large Blizzard.

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:16 PM

I'm not a big fan of whipped cream on desserts. (Pie, blended coffee drinks, ice cream treats, etc.) Because those things are usually already sweet enough, I don't need more sweetness.

Lulu sinks the jumper. 88-71

I'd go with Butterfinger or something else if you have a favorite flavor (they have snickers, m%m, oreo, and maybe 2-3 more that I can't remember).

What size are you going to get?

nuraman00
04-28-2012, 12:18 PM
I ate when Thibbadeau plays Asik and Gibson too many minutes over Noah and Boozer.

In game 5 against Miami last year, he played Kurt Thomas and Gibson the majority of the 4th. No wonder their offense sucked, duh.

IowaSacKing93
04-28-2012, 12:19 PM
21 points, 9 rebs, and 8 assists for Rose. One of my bold predictions was more than 1 triple double

Maybe that wasn't bold enough of a prediction :(

Oreo and Butterfinger I can have anytime.

I'd probably choose between Snickers and Reeses. Which would you think is better?

I'd probably go with a medium, not your large, lol.

There were 5-6 in each category. They were all mainstays, maybe one might have been a promotion.

Read my 1st round predictions thread. I lamented that this song choice by Linkin Park. I get that they are promoting a NEW song, just wish they would have done a good song by them instead of a new one.

They did the same thing with Lenny Kravitz last year too. They teamed up with TNT to promote a new song, rather than just play a good song by him.

But he was still very healthy when he suffered the injury, it's not like you could have predicted it.

Both awful, but, I'd be more heartbroken if a Kevin Durant hamburgered his knee than say a 30 year old star.

ACL tears really can f'up your speed, quickness and acceleration, all of which are vital to Rose's game.

It's unfortunate that Iman Shumpert suffered the injury today too. What a bad day for injuries.

Ok, game 3 in Philly. Close game in the 2nd quarter.

It's kind of cool to have two playoff games air at the same time, one on espn and one on espn2. I can't remember the last time this was the case (probably the 1st round last year, I just don't remember watching two games at once, flipping back and forth, and being into both games).

This happens during the first Friday of the 1st round every year. ESPN and ESPN2 both air games. It's also the first time since the opening weekend, that ESPN airs any games. TNT has M-Th during the first week.

Philadelphia came back late in the game, and Chicago kept fouling them in transition.

Ugly basketball right now.

Both teams are just forcing things that aren't there. Holliday airballed a jumper 5 seconds into the shotclock..the Bulls are trying to feed Asik down low like he's Shaq in his prime.

The two teams are a combined 3/19 so far this quarter.

Igoudala hits a 3! Tie game at 70.

There is just something about Evan Turner that I do not like at all. I want to choke him out

Maybe it's because he went to Ohio State ...or maybe it just seems like he has cockiness to him. Keep in mind, he was the #2 overall pick, and has been a disappointment so far in my mind.

Poor Chicago.....it is never going to happen for that team

Back-to-back-to-back blocks

You mean each team had a block, and then team A had a block again?

Congrats to Philly for moving on. Unfortunately their second round series will be complete garbage. Philly barely beat Chicago without Rose, an injured Noah, and a Deng not at 100%. Against Miami? Good night.

Philly is playing the Atlanta/Boston winner.

If it's Boston, some of the media said that Iguodala can shut Pierce down so it will be a decent series.

Yeah I noticed that last night. Thought they said they were on there way to Miami next. I wouldn't bother watching any of those games.

Philly stacks up pretty nice with Boston, but then Philly had to scratch and claw to be a team missing its best players. Boston is old, not the best offensively, but do have more weapons. It'll be a decent series though with some close games.

So which series in the 2nd round would you watch, of those that have been decided?

I think Philly may just play better against Boston then they did against Chicago. Chicago is still a well balanced team. Boston is more reliant on its stars, and can be easier to beat IF Pierce struggles, and Allen doesn't look good.
