They are showing commercials for Aqua Velva aftershave. Normally I only see that in the MLB playoffs (which I think has an older demographics).

Yep, nice run by the Celtics... this is going to be a closer series than I thought. I thought Miami was going to be able to dribble penetrate at will.

DCKingsFan (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?94-DCKingsFan)'s first live post this playoffs. I'm so excited.
Are you getting your margarita recipes recipe? When will you unveil this year's lucky draft lottery recipe?
Miami scored a lot on lobs, not really dribble penetration.
They also had James post up a few times.
And they would get rebounds and pass to cutters.
They didn't try dribble penetrating.

Mario Chalmers hits a 3. He should be on the post-game interview. :)

DCKingsFan (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?94-DCKingsFan), did you see the playoffs montage before the game started, by ESPN? Were all of those clips from past Eastern Conference Finals, or were they from different rounds too?

I think you're right but a friend pointed out that they only showed eastern conference teams. So I think it was just EFC highlights, and that would make sense since ESPN has the ECF and TNT has the WCF this year.

Doc Rivers gets a technical for saying "Cmon Eddie".
Yeah..there were like 4 technicals on Boston? The Rondo one (where he pushed Battier) I was ok with , but the others were just eh..players should be able to show some frustration/be able to vent..they're human beings playing a game with passion, not robots. I just hate stupid technicals

Boston got off to a poor start offensively. I was seeing a lot of random jumpers, and they weren't falling.
At times, Wade and LeBron were able to get to the rim at ease (I remember Wade driving for a layup in the 3rd I believe, and no one even tried to guard him...then there was the play early where Wade more or less snuck in the back door, received the pass, and had an easy lay-in). But at times, Boston was able stop Miami in transition too.
Boston was just too inconsistent, overall. They did a nice job in the 2nd quarter...then started playing shitty again in the 2nd half. That's really the biggest concern I have with Boston: Can they have games where they play overall well, not like game 1 where it's bad, good, bad, ok, bad.

Ibaka blocks Duncan.
Durant hits a 3. It's a 12-point game again.
I think these two teams can play competitively throughout the remainder of the game but I don't know if OKC can make a sizeable dent in this lead (and actually come back to tie/take the lead).
IowaSacKing93
05-29-2012, 07:39 PM
The Spurs are picking OKC apart on offense. The lead has swollen to 20

I thought that Celtic steal was from the NBA Finals, unless there was more than one big steal in the playoffs. (Can't remember which player stole the ball anymore, would have to see the highlights.)
If they show it again (which I think they will), I'll try to record it and upload it.

Boston is off to a good shooting start, unlike last game. Miami is still within 5 though.
I think Boston needs to develop some kind of 3-point attack. They're 0/1 this game, 4/14 last game...but I think they need to have a good 3pt shooting game on the road, in order to 'steal' a win in Miami. I don't know if they can shoot at a good rate from the field, and hit less than 5 3's, and still win. Of course it can happen and a team with a great PG can make it happen with easy buckets..the odds are against them though.
Stiemsma has 4 fouls in 3 minutes, lol

Sharp shooting. Rondo was getting to the line and hitting open jump shots.
IowaSacKing93
05-30-2012, 07:37 PM
Kevin Garnett hits a long jumper at the end of the quarter.
Miami is up 6. I hope Boston can take the lead back and these two can fight down the stretch.

Rondo with a fantastic interception leading to an easy layup and Boston takes the lead.
Miami forces a 3.
Boston comes up with a couple of loose balls and Garnett now shooting free throws.

Yeah, Boston wasn't taking 3's today. Other than Allen or Pierce, they don't have anyone else who can, though.
Miami has Miller, Battier, James, and Chalmers.

I watched the draft lottery, then started the game (both on delay). But if a game has a 10+ lead, then I fast forward until it gets closer.
So, I caught up and then made my post a few minutes ago.

Ok, I'm going to record the conference finals montage at the beginning, and see if we can determine if every clip is from an eastern conference finals. I'll try and do that tonight.

From earlier in the game:
Jeff Van Gundy: Is that Chris Rock sitting next to the Celtics owner? Isn't he a Knicks fan?
Mike Breen: What's wrong with setting next to the Celtics owner? It's not like he's wearing a Celtics jersey.
Jeff: He's a Knicks fan.
Mike: With the Knicks out, he can't root for another team for the playoffs?
Jeff: He can't root for the Celtics or Heat especially. What's next, he's going to give the Celtics owner a massage?

yeah, it's lame how boston can come back and tie the game at 48...then allow some easy shots and give up a quick run (it was 59-50 i believe). I mean, that stuff happens, and Miami is a good team, but it makes the game less interesting.

It was on ESPN 2, just earlier today.
Remember, it's 4:30 AM there right now.
I was just hoping that I could continue watching from where I left off earlier this morning, and you could join me using one of the streams. :(

Pietrus for 3! 62-60.
Was it not 60-60, before the 3?

Pierce with a point-blank 3. I'm impressed with this shooting from Boston

Pierce for 3. But for a second I thought that was Rondo, just because he made those long shots earlier in the series, lol.
68-62.

James Jones wide open, 68-65

You know what I've liked about this EFC...the extended slow-mo highlights before commercial (In a regular season, you might see one highlight, but here you might see 3-4 and makes you really appreciate the plays even more)

I'll look out for this.
I wonder if ABC will continue doing this, since it's the same production company as ESPN.

IowaSacKing93 (http://kingsforum.net/live/member.php?9-IowaSacKing93), who was that MLB player that played for every team in the NL central (or maybe 5/6)?

Jim Edmonds, maybe?
Edmonds played for St Louis, Chicago, Milwaukee, and Cincinnati...but not Houston or Pittsburgh. So maybe not him

No.
I did think James took a ton of "bad" shots, that just went in. I don't think he can make them on a regular basis, the same way Pierce or Bryant or Durant can make their tough shots.
James doesn't have that good of a jumper. Hence why he's a bad FT shooter too.

I don't think that the Celts will have enough in the tank to win today though... But I can't see either of these teams beating OKC

So Rondo had a triple double in a game 7.
Here are the past ones (as far as I can research).
This was the first time that a player who did that lost.
Rondo - 2012 vs. Miami
Rondo - 2012 vs. Philly
Westbrook - 2011 vs. Memphis
Pippen - 1992 vs. New York.
Worthy - 1988 vs. Detroit

James was ok, it was more of a Miami team win IMO. I know James came on late in the 4th, but Bosh, Chalmers, and Wade were more consistent throughout the game.

I didn't think Rondo was having as good of a game as he did, until they showed the stat late in the game.
