As most of you know in the new CBA (whenever it gets done) teams will be able to dump a player while negating a large portion of their cap hit. Currently the amnesty is slated to be used on only players currently under contract. The Maloofs have gone on record as fighting for the amnesty claused to be used on a future contract as well for its one time use.
Assuming the amnesty clause can only be used on a player currently under contract, who would you guys like for it to be used on and who do you think the Kings will use it on if they decide to excercise the right.
Personally, I think they'll sit on it a while. Currently they'll start the free agency period under the minimum cap so its not like it'll help them currently. Garcia and Salmons are the two most logical candidates as they are the only ones with contracts that are dump worthy. I doubt they'd use it on Salmons as he still is the best option at SF, and him succeeding is the only way to justify the stupid draft day trade (which looks worse since they could of used this to dumped Beno). That leaves Garcia as the one to kick as with all his injuries he has become nothing but an overpriced cheerleader. He does get a long with players and the organization, but with Salmons/Honeycutt/Greene there just isn't much playing time. So if/when they add contracts, Cisco might be gone unless Salmons plays horribly or becomes a big distraction for the team.
