duh
IT with the stupid Turnover. Nice 5 quarters by the Kings but now the failbomb has exploded
Really Smart, you call the time out NOW??? You wait until the failbomb has fully exploded, only 1 minute left while down by double digits? Please retire.
I hate how they get down by 18 points in 3 minutes. (exaggeration)
I would have preferred that if they lost this game, it was by 4 points.
Can you really put your foot on the ball? Shouldn't that technically be a kicked ball or something?
Agreed. I don't mind hard fought losses...even like this....but save the blow outs. This became a double digit game in a minute. It wasn't really the Heat rocking it...it was the Kings play like idiots. Second OT....3 bad turnovers...Thornton forcing shots and no defense. Great game overall considering this IS the Kings, but still would of liked a cleaner lose.
Notes of the game:
Thornton with a lot of big shots, lots of confidence, but needs to learn to settle down..
Salmons with great defense
Cousins WAS the best big on the floor despite his own flakey moments.
Patterson is the new T-Rob in not getting time to do anything
Evans is Evans...even when he has stats he still isn't good overall.
Smart has no idea how to coach a team
Great effort overall from the Kings
While I was mostly listening, I don't think you can say today "he wasn't good overall". 11-19 shooting, only 2 turnovers (yes one in OT).
From what I saw, he didn't have much defensive responsibility, only in a few plays.
He and Thornton were the most efficient players in the game. Even if they took some bad shots, that's still very efficient.
Ok, maybe James was more efficient, with 11-12 FT, 16 assists to 2 turnovers, and 14-23 shooting. Well-rounded line. But even James took some contested shots, just like Thornton and Evans.
Evans was guarding Ray Allen. The problem is he would rotate for no reason giving Ray Allen several open 3s. Either he'd stand there and no see Allen walk off or he'd chase someone without the ball (yes he is that awesome) and leave Allen open. Needless to say his defense though not as essential as for Salmons/Thornton...sucked
The turnovers Evans made also resulted in points for the Heat. 11-18 is nice. There is more to the game then that though. A few of his makes were on really bad shots that got lucky bounces or were slapped in the air and happened to go in.
Order of incompetence: Smart > Smart > Smart > Smart > Smart.
To be honest I think just about everyone on the Kings can be effective role players on other teams. On this team though....without a leader/coach/role they just don't mesh well. I look forward to see Garcia and T-Rob on Houston to see how they do away from Oz
Great game! Pretty impressed on how the Kings played for the most part tonight. Thornton played his best game this year by far. Cousins was a monster. Just a great team effort even though they lost.
