* Boring, don't care for this New York team.
Orlando-Oklahoma City
* Don't like Orlando's guards. Also, Oklahoma City will be on a ton, so I don't want to get worn out on them.
I also don't think Big Baby is that good. I mean, I can see why coaches play him, they can put him in a role where he scores off the bench.
But I prefer Bass' game more.
I think the Thunder are one of those teams I like watching/studying more in the playoffs, rather than seemingly every week in the regular season.
Westbrook is very physical in his defense. Maybe it's the matchup, a Thunder-Nets game would be more intriguing so I can see Westbrook vs. Williams.
Not sure when I'll be able to post tomorrow, so we'll see.
Clippers vs Golden State is really the only one among the lineup that I care to really watch. I'm with you...I'm not a fan of the Knicks and even with Chandler they still aren't fun to watch. I just can't root for guys like Melo. The Lakers feel so stale now. Orlando is still a team 100% about Dwight Howard. Miami and Dallas should be a good game though, just would be more fun to see when both teams have less rust around them.
Can't wait for the Kings though. Win or lose, I'm glad to have them back on.
Out of all of those teams I'm nowhere near as close to excited as I am about the Kings/Lakers game. Heat/mavs should be interesting though to see how it turns out. I will rofl if the heat lose and it is because bosh is 1/12 fg xD.
Clippers-Warriors and Heat-Mavs are the best ones, IMO.
As for Chicago, they have a few things going against me personally:
* In 2006-2007, it seemed the only teams on national TV were: Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix, Miami, Houston, L.A. Lakers.
(On a side note, yes, they did show Wizards-Kings that year. That's the game where Kevin Martin made a left handed pass to a cutting Williamson. Williamson missed the layup. Doug Collins exclaimed "You have to finish the layup after a pass like that!". But TNT liked the pass so much, they showed it as part of their "Inside The NBA" introduction sequence for the rest of the year. They stopped right before Williamson missed the layup, though. Kevin Martin scored 40 in this game, but the Kings lost.)
* Thibbadeau is a horrible offensive coach. Just horrible. He has no other play than "give the ball to Rose" and let him isolate. When they lost those close games to the Heat in the playoffs, it wasn't because they were running their normal system and just mis-executed. It was because they didn't even have a system to begin with, IMO.
Even the Kings can mix it up when they give it to Cousins in the high post.
* Rose doesn't use his bigs enough IMO. I think if you swapped Rose out for Deron Williams or Tony Parker, those bigs would be getting more layups and dunks. I was impressed with how many easy looks Tony Parker got Noah on Team France.
For the Lakers, I like watching Pau Gasol. And he'll probably get more touches with Bynum out, which would be good for me to watch. But the Lakers will be on a ton, so I can watch them some other time on national TV.
I like this clip of Gasol dunking on Garnett, and Szczerbiak laughing at his own teammate, Garnett, in the background:
Go to 0:42 seconds to see Szczerbiak's reaction.
Plus, the Spanish broadcast is hilarious to hear.
I was trying to figure out for the life of me who #11 was for Boston, and it took me about half the quarter to figure out its Sasha Pavlovic lol.
Rondo took a viscious elbow from Carmelo. He was a little woozy getting up lol. NY's lead down to 3
Wow, Boston going on a scoring rampage. Rondo is killing in transition 14-2 run and now the game is tied.
Anyone? ANYONE?? *CRICKETS* Guess you're all too busy getting drunk off your eggnog
I guess I should have watched the first game, glad it was close.
Yeah normally I'm up for these quintuple headers and posting in massive game threads but I guess I have to go.
I'll let you know if/when I'm back later. I'll post in this thread.
Have fun nuraman. Don't drink and drive. This game is a little blowout-ish. Dallas needs to get a little closer. Brian Cardinal holy shit, ugly brick.
James Jones learned to count by 3s lol - Stan Van Gundy
