Interestingly enough, the player with the lowest OPS (among qualified candidates) is Brent Morel of the White Sox.

    16/93 .172 BA, 2 XBH, 4 BB/33 K, .400 OPS

    Marlon Byrd is at .442

    Ouch

Looking at K:BB ratio..Clint Barmes has 1 walk to 25 strikeouts LOL and is batting .152! His slugging percentage is a little inflated because 9 of his 14 hits are XB.

    I guess not.

I sorted by min PA (75) and he didn't show up.

He did show up when I sorted by atleast 50 PA.

Cardinals have a lot of young hitters who have looked like All-star caliber players in small sample sizes. Freese and Craig to name two. I wonder if they can keep it up.

    As of 5/19:

    1. Josh Hamilton 1.225 OPS, 146 AB
    2. Matt Kemp 1.173 OPS, 117 AB
    3. David Wright 1.132 OPS, 127 AB
    4. Paul Konerko 1.058 OPS, 139 AB
    5. Joey Votto 1.050 OPS, 133 AB

Bryan LaHair has fallen to 8th, at 1.037

    Other notables:

Carlos Ruiz is batting .361 with 7 homers, 29 rbi, and has only struck out 13 times this year. Wow

Chris Young of Arizona only has 47 at-bats this year but he has a higher OPS than Hamilton. 18/47 with 5 homers and 5 doubles and a .383 average

George Kottaras of Milwaukee has walked 14 times, and struck out just 8 in 35 at bats. 4 of his 9 hits are extra base.

Can you keep adding Allen Craig?

Also, remember I had 4 questions last year? I think they were:

    1. Which hitter gets the most called strikeouts?

    2. Which pitcher gets the most called strikeouts?

    3. Which hitter gets the most swinging strikeouts?

    4. Which pitcher gets the most swinging strikeouts?

I think you found a way to sort through last year's data, and give some sort of answer. I know it wasn't a perfect match, but you found something that was on the right track, and satisfied my curiosity.

What did you do again, and can you find out this info for either this year or last year?

I think you used fan graphs or something to see what pitcher gets pitches swung at that were out of the zone, for example.
