Why is game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals not on national TV?

The game is being played on NBC Sports Network. I don't even have that, and have never heard of it.

This is an elimination game..a team could win the championship tonight...and NBC can't show it?

Ok I get it a little..NBC has good programming on Tuesday night, good ratings, bla bla (even if that were true) they can't find some other network to broadcast it over.

I'm not a hockey fan by any means but this is just disappointing.

Believe it's what was once Versus, which has the NHL contract that ESPN used to have before ESPN decided they didn't want to pay for it.

    But yeah, that's pretty crazy.

    Is Versus still around?

I wonder why they didn't want to keep hockey on their channel..or maybe the NHL was wanting a change.

Versus became the NBC Sports Network.

I think the NHL was asking too much for ESPN if I remember correctly.
