So, I'm still not quite sure. What do you think of the original punishment for the bounty scandal?

I like expanded playoffs, but that's just because I like any playoffs game in general (whatever sport). There's so much on the line, it makes it more exciting.
For example, with the new WC games in the MLB, you're still seeing good teams.
In the NCAA, the "First Four" games are still pretty good.
In the NBA, while not every 1st round is great, at least 1/2 of them are interesting and worth watching. And we've also had upsets in recent years. #6 Dallas beat #3 SA in 2009. #7 SA beat DAL #2 DAL in 2010. Etc.
I don't watch the NFL playoffs though, other than that one day I posted about last year (#12 <--). So I don't now if the 1st rounds have been as good as what I think are comparable in other sports.
But I think it could be good.
I tuned in a little late so I might have missed a caller, if there was one.
Rough show.
Chris LeFlore was supposed to come on at 2:05 and when 2:05 rolled around he wasn't there so had to flip to Week 15. Meanwhile while we talked about that a number called in, thought it was Chris. Turned out to be some John/Jim guy who wanted to talk, but couldn't do that because thought LeFlore would come on at any time. Then after 20 minutes of LeFlore not calling in, we were running out of topics. Just a rough, ugly show

I didn't feel that you were running out of topics. The flow seemed fine to me. Talking about the bounty scandal overruling, the proposed kick-off change, expanded playoffs, and some MLB moves.
It sucks that you couldn't get your first live caller though.
Is there a call waiting system or something? Probably not, since it's just the two of you.

I feel really bad for him. Because not only did you tell him you can't talk, but you also said "not sure what that was" right after you hung up.
I think you should have said something like "I'd love to take your call but I scheduled Chris LeFlore to call in right now, please call back after him."
You didn't give him a reason why you couldn't talk. It went like this:
"I'd love to talk about the NFL. Can I talk?"
"Not right now."
Just FYI in the future.

Aren't you big on player safety though? So don't you think stiff punishments were necessary? Or that 1 year is still too much?
