If i could afford it id do it for sure.![]()
One of my friends, who worked part-time in HS, went on a 7 week road trip with his friends the summer after graduation, and hit 41 or 42 states during that span.
I bet if someone were to start saving for a year, they could do it. The most expensive parts would be trying to fly to Hawaii and Alaska. You'd also have to figure out some connections in some of those states.
Stoupe of Jedi Mind is my favorite producer.
And no I don't like trash rap either, but there's so much good stuff out there.
Looks like you're definitely a West coast guy, but I'm surprised you included Immortal and JMT (most people have never heard of them)
Do you have a favorite song by either?
If you go into the song of the day thread, you'll see a bunch of good songs by these artists that I posted.
I forgot to mention:
Masta Ace and Das EFX
Listen to those two if you have a chance, especially Masta (Disposable Arts or a Hot Long Summer)
@nuraman- opps ty fr the heads up i didnt notice that was a link lol, wow thats pretty impressive that your friend was able to do tat. If i had that money id just go to europe or aussieland for vacation.
@IowaKing- For immortal tech- i like Peruvian cocaine, with point of no return, and dancing with the devil at a close second.
JMT- uncommon valor is hands down one of my all time fav songs
yeh i will check em out for sure
Yeah it wasn't just my friend though, it was also 4-6 of his friends too. They had all planned to do it after HS graduation, and they all kept their word and went on that 6-7 week road trip. I was impressed.
My friend said though that it was good, but not great. He got homesick near the end, and said that that was too much time together. He also said there were some days were people wanted to do one thing, and others wanted to do something else, so they either split up at times, or one group just stayed back in the RV (probably to save on some of the costs too). Overall, he had fun doing a lot of things, but there were some drawbacks too.

In terms of lyrical content, Uncommon Valor is JMT's best song, and RA's verse is one of the best I've ever heard.
Vinnie goes first, his verse is ok...but he just sets it up for verse #2
Also, copy of lyrics: http://rapgenius.com/Ra-the-rugged-m...n-valor-lyrics
In the middle of the 2nd verse, his flow becomes like a river
Every hip-hop fan should listen to his collab album with Mos Def (Black Star).
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mos_Def...are_Black_Star Every single track is good. Twice Inna Lifetime, the last track, might be my favorite.
